A season of making, gathering & returning
CREATIVE CLUB
CREATIVE CLUB
A season of making, gathering and returning.
Creative Club is a place to slow down, make with your hands and create alongside others.
Across eight workshops this autumn and winter, we’ll explore paper, cloth, plants, words, books and stitch. Learning simple analogue practices, sharing stories and making space for creativity in everyday life.
Each session is held around a table of just twelve people, creating a small, welcoming space to experiment, learn and connect.
At the heart of Creative Club is a simple belief: creativity enriches our lives. It helps us notice, communicate, connect and remember how good it feels to make something with our own hands.
This season follows the movement of the year, coming home, gathering in, discovering what is enough, and gently entering the darker months.
Come for one workshop or follow the whole season.
… Just add curiosity
CREATIVE CLUB WORKSHOPS
SEPTEMBER - Coming home
Maps of Home / 12 September / 2.30PM - 4.30PM
Home is more than a place. It can be a feeling, a person, a memory, a rhythm or somewhere we feel most ourselves.
Using a simple map-fold structure, we’ll create a small illustrated zine exploring what home feels like to us. Through words, colour, marks, collage and drawing, we’ll make our own personal maps of belonging.
A Little Book of Coming Home / 19 September / 2.30pm - 4.30PM
As summer begins to loosen its grip, this workshop is an invitation to gather ourselves back in.
We’ll learn a simple hand-binding technique and make a small book to carry with us into autumn. Gentle prompts will help us begin its pages together, but this is a book designed to grow slowly. Somewhere to notice, collect, write, draw and return to as the season unfolds.
OCTOBER - Gathering in
The Harvest Table / 10 October / 2.30PM - 4.30PM
Recipes carry so much more than ingredients. They hold people, places, memories and stories.
Bring a recipe that has been passed down, shared with you, or simply become part of your own life. Together we’ll turn these into illustrated recipe cards using drawing, lettering, colour and collage.
At the end, we’ll gather them around our Creative Club table, share their stories and create a record of the recipes that nourish us.
A Pocket Herbarium, Nourishing Herbs / 24 October / 2.30PM - 5PM
An afternoon of plants, drawing and slow observation.
Together we’ll explore three beautiful nourishing herbs; nettle, oat straw and burdock. Learning about their traditional uses and getting to know their shapes, stories and character. Using illustration, mark-making and simple bookmaking, we’ll create a small pocket herbarium to take home.
The start of noticing and recording our wild herbs.
NOVEMBER - Enough
Made From Scraps, Fabric & Bookmaking / 14 November / 2.30PM - 5.30PM
Beautiful things could begin with what we already have.
In this hands-on bookmaking workshop we’ll work with paper remnants, fabric scraps and thread to create a simple hand-bound book. We’ll explore signatures, stitching and different ways of incorporating fabric into covers and bindings. Celebrating the marks, frayed edges and imperfections that give reused materials their character.
Sew a Little Love / 20 November / 6PM - 9PM
Bring something you already own. Add a little love ❤️
Choose a jacket, jumper, shirt, pair of jeans, bag or another piece of clothing and we’ll hand-stitch the word LOVE onto it. We’ll play with lettering, scale, placement, colour and stitch before making our designs permanent.
A gentle introduction to expressive hand embroidery, slow making and giving something familiar a new chapter.
December - INto the dark
Paper Talismans / 4 December / 6.30PM - 8.30PM
What would you like to carry with you into winter?
We’ll explore a couple of simple folded paper forms and turn them into small personal talismans containing words, poems, drawings, intentions or reminders. Something to slip into a pocket, tuck inside a book or keep somewhere close. A tiny object to return to when you need it.
Tiny Books for Winter / 12 December / 2.30PM - 5PM
A workshop for making something small, beautiful and full of meaning.
We’ll create miniature handmade books to keep, hang or gift, filling their pages with blessings, gentle prayers, poems, drawings and words for winter. Hang one from a tree, tuck one into a gift or pass one quietly to somebody you love.
