Emma ’Sininha’ Gibbs De Oliveira has been practicing the art of Capoeira for 24 years. On this journey she has been fortunate to travel and meet with so many wonderful people. The memories that stick in her mind of these travels are the stories told.

Combining her love for storytelling and her artistic prowess Emma brings to the world her first comic book, Berimbau, a story of how it came to be. With a bold desire to inspire others through the vibrant cultural teaching of Capoeira, its music and colourful history, she has written a fantastical story about the sacred Berimbau.
